NEST will host an informational meeting and discussion around the data center currently proposed for the former Alcatel-Lucent property at 1960 Lucent Lane, adjacent to I-88.

We’ll hear from State Senator Laura Ellman, Karis Critical, the company that is proposing to build the datacenter, as well as Citizen’s Utility Board.  There will be time after the presentations for questions and discussion.  This site is close to residential areas, Herrick Lake Forest Preserve, and Danada.

There are a number of important considerations for the project including noise pollution, potential air pollution as well as how this fits the vision for Naperville’s I-88 corridor.

The Planning and Zoning Commission may make a recommendation on this data center to the City Council in their October 15 meeting.
